Sonos Bluetooth Speaker’s Features

Earlier, Sonos speakers did not possess the Bluetooth feature. It also includes an ethernet jack and a USB-C port. According to leaked pictures, Sonos speakers are round in shape. However, the control buttons on the top are similar to their previous models. The speaker is much larger as it appears in the pictures. The speakers are charged with a base station. Further, it has USB-C port, it can be charged while connecting it with Laptop, PC or adopter. Thus, a user can take this to the long drive, office or wherever he wants to. It can work with smart assistants like Alexa or Google. Basically, it supports hands-free voice commands from these smart assistants. In addition to this, it has a button which can switch between two modes i.e. WiFi and Bluetooth. On the backside, it has a hand carrier which makes it easy to carry everywhere. Moreover, it not an accessory, it is part of the portable speaker. It will also support Apple’s AirPlay2. When Bluetooth mode is switched on, the speakers cannot be handled with the Sonos app. A user needs to pair a device and then play, like an ordinary Outdoor Bluetooth speaker.

Bluetooth vs. WiFi

If we compare, the other speakers of the same company need WiFi to play audiobooks, podcasts, and music. Further, the WiFi supported speakers could do streaming services as well. This is the first time that Sonos is working with Bluetooth. Thereafter, when WiFi is not available, the user can connect it with Bluetooth and enjoy the music. Sonos will also use built-in voice microphones so that the speaker’s audio will be adjusted automatically. It is expected that Sonos Bluetooth speakers will arrive this fall.
